Tiny House Trailers

What are Tiny Houses and Tiny House Trailers?

Tiny houses are small homes that are typically built on tandem axle trailers and offer their owners simplified mobile living. PJ trailer built for a Tiny House
Tiny houses are affordable, energy efficient, and give the owner the freedom to move and travel at their leisure.

One area you don’t want to neglect when building a tiny house is your trailer. Strength, reliability, and the use quality components are all critical as they will be the foundation of your new home. We also have a network of over 250 trailer dealers throughout the US and Canada, giving you excellent choices for delivery and service.

We build several units that have become quite popular in the tiny house community to build homes on.

We also have 3D models for each of our trailers that will give you 360-degree views of the top and underside of each trailer.

MOST POPULAR TINY HOUSE TRAILERS

Probably the most popular trailer used for a tiny house is our 5″ Channel Car Hauler (C5). This trailer is 83″ wide inside the fenders and comes in lengths from 10 – 22 feet. The 5″ channel car hauler can be equipped with two 3500 or 5200 brake axles for a 7,000-10,400 lbs GVWR. These trailers are quite popular and are in stock throughout many dealers nationwide. Often times these trailers are built with a 2 ft dovetail, you will likely want yours to have a straight deck (no dovetail). We have also seen tiny house builders build their homes on our 6″ Channel Equipment (CC) that has a 14,000 lbs rating.

If you would like a wider frame than the typical 83″ carhauler but want to keep a low deck height, you should look at our 5″ Channel Buggy Hauler (B5). This trailer is 102″ wide from rub rail to rub rail and 83″ wide between the fenders. This trailer can be ordered with two 3500 or 5200 lbs axles giving it a rating range of 7,000 – 10,400 lbs.

Another model with a wider 102″ frame vs the typical 83″ carhauler with a low deck height the 6″ Channel Buggy Hauler (B6) is another option for a tiny house. This trailer has standard two 7000 lbs axles giving it a rating of 14,000 lbs.

Our utility trailers work well for building tiny houses since they have removable side rails. The 83″ Channel Utility (U8) is 83″ wide inside the fenders and can be ordered as a single axle utility (10 – 14 feet length). Our tandem axle U8 utility trailers are typically ordered in lengths of 16 – 20 feet.

If you are looking for the maximum width in your tiny house you will want to go with a deckover model. Deckover means the “deck is over the tires” and you do not have fenders. We offer the Light Duty Deckover (L5) that has a 7,000 GVWR and 5″ channel frame. For heavier and longer applications we also have the Medium Duty Deckover (L6) with a 10,400 GVWR.
