Utility Trailers for Sale
556 utility trailers in stock right now across 14 stores in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri & Arizona, priced $1,698 to $16,795. Find your size below, or call (866) 606-7477 with whatever the load is — mower, side-by-side, or Saturday's gravel run — and we'll name the size.
What are you hauling?
Single-axle utility · 5x8 to 6x12 · the low end of $1,698–$16,795.
Tandem-axle utility · 6x12 to 7x16. Want tall sides for clippings and brush? A landscape trailer carries them.
6x12 to 7x14 with a gate you drive straight up.
That's an enclosed box, not an open deck.
You want the longer deck and heavier axles.
A bed that lifts pays for itself fast.
Single axle or tandem axle?
This is the first question, and it settles most of the others. Our utility shelf splits roughly down the middle: light single-axles rated under 3,000 lbs, and tandems rated at 7,000 lbs and up. A single-axle is lighter on the tongue, cheaper to buy, and cheaper to keep in tires. For one machine, a load of mulch, or a monthly dump run, it's all the trailer the job needs. The tandem earns its second axle three ways. It carries more than twice the load. It comes with electric brakes. And when a tire lets go at highway speed, the other three keep the trailer tracking behind you instead of plowing a fender into the pavement. The honest rule: size to the worst load the trailer will ever carry, even if it only carries it once a year. A trailer loaded past its rating wears out axles, bearings, and tires — and it stops the way it wants to, not the way you do.
What size utility trailer do you need?
Match the deck to the widest, longest thing you own — and check the gate opening, not just the deck, because the gate uprights are where a wide mower actually has to fit. A standard four-wheeler rides a 5x8 with room to strap it down. A 60-inch zero-turn wants a 6x12; that also leaves deck for the push mower and a wheelbarrow. Most side-by-sides run around 64 inches wide and need the length of a 7x14 to close the gate behind them. Every utility trailer we stock is a bumper pull — it hitches to a ball on the truck you already drive, no special hitch in the bed. If you're between two sizes, take the longer deck. Nobody has ever complained about the two feet they didn't have to leave at home.
What does a utility trailer cost?
A utility trailer is usually the least expensive trailer on any of our lots. Pricing starts at $1,698 and tops out at $16,795, and the bulk of the shelf sits near the bottom of that range. What moves the price is simple to see: a second axle, brakes, deck length, gate style, and steel versus aluminum. Financing is available, and so is rent-to-own, and we'll put the full cost of either on paper before you sign anything. But at this price range, the straight advice is often the boring kind: if the single-axle covers the job, buy the single-axle. Money saved on the trailer buys the tie-downs, the spare, and the jack stand you'll actually use.
Wood floor, mesh, and gate height — the details after size
A treated-wood deck is the default, and it's the right call for anything with small wheels or anything loose — a hand truck rolls across boards, not through them. An expanded-metal mesh floor sheds rain, mud, and grass clippings on its own and never rots; lawn crews tend to pick mesh for exactly that reason. Then look up at the gate. A taller gate lays down into a longer ramp, and a longer ramp means a shallower angle — that's what keeps a low-deck mower from scraping its blades on the way up. Mesh gates also let the wind through instead of dragging it down the highway. Gate style itself is the other fork — a fold-down ramp gate or rear slide-out ramps — and it's a choice worth making at the counter, not discovering at the first loading.
Ramp gate or slide-out ramps? Answer one question.
Every utility trailer loads over the tail one of two ways. The right one depends on what climbs it most days — not on what your last trailer had.
Fold-down ramp gate
- One ramp the full width of the deck — drive up anywhere, nothing to line up.
- Small wheels and hand equipment climb it where separate rails would drop them.
- Always on the trailer, so there's nothing to stow, set, or forget at the shop.
Rear slide-out ramps
- Slide out and set to your machine's exact stance, so wide tires track true.
- They stow under the deck — the tail stays open for loads that run long.
- No tall gate standing in the wind on the highway.
Will your truck pull it?
A utility trailer is the one category almost any tow vehicle can handle — the light end of it, anyway. The number that decides it is printed on your driver's door jamb, so read that sticker before you shop.
SUV or mid-size pickup
- Many single-axles sit inside the ratings of a mid-size pickup or a V6 SUV
Half-ton
- A tandem loaded to its 7,000-lb rating is honest half-ton work
- Once a trailer has brakes, you need a brake controller in the cab to use them
Heavy-duty
- Any utility trailer on this page tows well inside a heavy-duty rating
- Figure about a tenth of the loaded weight pressing down on your hitch
If you're not sure what your truck is rated for, call (866) 606-7477 and read us the door sticker — we'll tell you which trailers on this page it can pull.
