Gooseneck Trailers for Sale
There are 609 gooseneck trailers for sale across our lots right now, priced $5,355 to $39,998. Start with the load below, or call (866) 606-7477 and tell us what you're putting on the deck.
What are you hauling?
Deckover gooseneck · 20–25 ft decks · 14k–15.9k GVWR class · from about $5,355. A lone machine usually rides an equipment trailer instead.
Flatdeck gooseneck with a dovetail · 25–32 ft · slide-in or spring-assist ramps, so long equipment rolls on without unhooking the implement.
Flatdeck gooseneck · 32–40 ft · dual-wheel tandems. One 40-ft deck moves a dozen or more 4x5 bales in a trip.
Hotshot rigs · 40 ft · 24k+ GVWR dual tandems, built to run loaded five days a week.
The deck drops between the wheels, so you keep inches of height clearance and load at a lower angle.
Why pull a gooseneck instead of a bumper pull?
The hitch is the whole answer. A gooseneck couples to a ball mounted in the truck bed, directly over the rear axle, so the pin weight presses down on the axle instead of hanging off a receiver behind the bumper. That's what lets one pickup control a 30- or 40-foot deck that would wag a bumper-pull rig all over the highway. You also turn sharper — the trailer pivots over the bed, so you can swing nearly square through a gate a bumper pull won't make. The trade is your truck: the ball takes up bed space, and hitching means backing the ball under the coupler instead of onto it. Once you've settled on the gooseneck, the next fork is deck style — deckover or lowboy — and the comparison below walks that choice.
Will your three-quarter-ton pull it, or is this one-ton work?
Do the math in the bed, not on the bumper. A gooseneck puts roughly a quarter of its loaded weight straight down on your truck's rear axle — on a loaded 14k trailer that's around 3,500 lbs of pin weight, which eats most of a three-quarter-ton's payload before you add a toolbox or a passenger.
Three-quarter-ton
- A properly equipped three-quarter-ton handles the 14k tandem-axle decks
- Pin weight eats payload — check the door-sticker payload number, not just the tow rating
One-ton
- The 20k-and-up dual-tandem rigs are one-ton territory, usually a dually
- Every gooseneck we stock runs electric brakes on every axle — plan on a brake controller in the cab
You'll also need a gooseneck ball in the bed — most late-model HD trucks have the puck system under the bed floor already. If you'd rather not do the arithmetic alone, call (866) 606-7477 — two minutes on the phone beats finding out at the scales.
What does a gooseneck trailer cost?
The spread runs $5,355 to $39,998. Axles set the price more than length does: tandem-axle 14k flatdecks are the working center of the selection, and the price climbs when you step up to dual-wheel tandems, hydraulic dovetails, or heavy lowboy frames. PJ Trailers is the biggest single block on our lots right now at 278 units, alongside PJ Trailers, ARC Trailers, LoneStar, Norstar, AT Trailers, Metalium Industries, RawMaxx, Load Trail, Delco, P.J. Trailers, Horizon, Kauffman, Midsota, STALLION, Sundowner, Texas Bragg. Financing and rent-to-own are both on the table, in straight terms — the paperwork shows what the trailer costs over the life of the loan, and if a bumper-pull flatbed covers the job for less, we'll say so before you sign anything.
These are cash prices, and the cash price isn't the finish line — tax, title, and the doc fee land on top, and your state writes two of the three. Call the store with a stock number and get the out-the-door figure; that's the number worth budgeting against.
Estimate your monthly payment
What deck length and GVWR do you need?
Size for your heaviest day, not your average one. GVWR across the gooseneck stock runs 12,500 to 30,000, and the number that matters is what's left after the trailer's own weight — a 14k deck weighing around 4,500 lbs empty carries roughly 9,500 lbs of machine. On length: a skid steer rides fine on 20 to 22 feet; a tractor with an implement hitched wants 30 or more so you're not unhooking in the field; hay and hotshot work take the full 40. If the machine is tracked or low on power, look for a dovetail with long slide-in ramps — the shallower angle is the difference between driving on and winching on. Torn between two GVWRs, take the heavier one. The frame, brakes, and tires that come with it are cheaper on day one than a second trailer in year three.
Deckover or lowboy? Answer one question.
Both come bumper pull or gooseneck — the hitch isn't the fork. Deck height is, and what rides up there most days makes the call.
Deckover
- No fenders beside the deck — forks set freight from either side, rail to rail.
- Wide implements lie flat instead of riding up on the fenders.
- The trade is height: anything that drives on faces a longer, steeper climb.
Lowboy
- The lowest deck of the open trailers — short ramps, shallow angle, easy on low-clearance machines.
- Tall machines keep their road clearance because the deck starts closer to the pavement.
- The fenders claim part of the width, so wide flat freight is the one job it hands back.
